May Theme: Masterpiece - Monet

It's been a few months since the super successful Van Gogh themed subscription box, so I thought it was about time we revisited the little 'Masterpiece' theme with the works of French artist, Claude Monet.

Best known for his pieces focused on waterlilies, Monet's impressionist art was a precursor to the later modernist movement, and has inspired countless artists since his work in the late 1800s. His paintings are some of my favourites ever, and I love visiting the National Gallery in London whenever I can, just to see The Lily Pond up close. His use of colour, light and varying brushstrokes are what makes his work so distinctive, and I really hope this is something I can translate into this month's box.

Daisy Tier - The smaller of the two boxes, will contain a pair of square stamp earrings, inspired by Monet's various paintings titled Water-Lilies. It will also contain a random Monet themed washi tape- everyone will receive a different one!

Peony Tier - The larger box will, as always, contain everything from the smaller tier, as well as a pair of mini drops influenced by one of Monet's later paintings: San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk (which is such a different piece to some of his earlier works, but so beautiful!). It will also contain a mini notebook with a random Monet artwork on the cover.

I'm really excited to get working on these earrings, and hopefully this month will be one where I remember to actually make myself a pair too! As always, the boxes will posted on the third week of the month, so week commencing 13th May. If you'd like to order, you can do so here. Don't forget that you can buy a one-off box, but the monthly subscription gets you £5 off every month!

Let me know what you think of the theme and drop any questions in the comments below, or to me via Instagram!
