February Theme: Sweet Shop
So the January box was a hit and I had so much fun making it! It was so exciting to get out of my comfort zone and try some new techniques, and the feedback I got was amazing (even if the calendar template I used was somehow wrong on January! 🤦♀️)
I think that choosing artists to inspire the box every few months is a great way to keep it fresh, and also relieve some of my burn out. I've found that it's becoming increasingly more difficult to find themes that I really care about, and it's even harder to find motivation to keep making things in the same old ways.
I've been tempted numerous times to branch into something new: creating DIY kits, writing a how-to book, buying a laser cutter for wood/acrylic earrings, working with precious metal clay, buying a 3D printer for cutters and other fun things, etc.
(If it wasn't obvious, the thing they all seem to have in common is a lot of time and money, which I don't have oops)
Because of this, I have decided that I really want to try and expand my clay horizons in 2024. I want to use the subscription boxes to make funky earrings that I would otherwise never try. I want to try and use polymer clay in more creative ways. I want to make products that are so obscenely time consuming that I could never offer them for general sale! 😂
This has been quite a ramble, so TL;DR - The ECD Subscription Box is gonna be full of unique goodness in 2024!

So February will be an earring twist on a British classic: Ye Olde Fashioned Sweet Shop! Think super bright colours, appetising designs, and jars of goodness. It'll be fun and nostalgic, and of course, with a few little sweet treats too!
Daisy Tier: The smaller tier will contain a super cute pair of 3D boiled sweet earrings. You know, the classic wrapped up sweets that rot your teeth. And, the extra this month is another pair of earrings! I had too many ideas to narrow it down, so you'll also get a pastel sugar cookie pair. Plus, there will be a couple of sweet treats.
Peony Tier: The bigger box will contain the earrings from above, as well as a gorgeous pair of clay sweet jar earrings (the big jars)! And as another little extra, a bundle of mixed sweets.
This month's box will be great value regardless of the box you choose!

February is a bit of a shorter month, and I'm going away for a week in the middle of it, so the boxes will be posted week commencing Feb 19th. It's a bit later than normal I know, but it's the only way I can fit it in and make sure that the products are as high quality as always!
